1738.         1738.  ------.  [INTERNATIONAL HYDROGENATION PATENTS CO., LTD.]  Synthetic Hydrocarbons From Synthetic Gas Mixture and Hydrogen.  British Patent 528,826, No. 7, 1940.  Chem. Abs., vol. 36. 1942, p. 1468.

CH4-CO2 mixture is converted to CO and H2 in the ratio 1:1 in the presence of Ni deposited upon clay such as fire clay.  This gas mixture is passed into a reactor held >200° containing a catalyst mixture such as Co-Th-kieselguhr.  The products are discharged into a separator wherein unreacted gases are removed by an overhead line.  The unreacted gases CO and H2 in part are subjected to oxidation to convert the CO to CO2.  The CO is extracted and recycled to the conversion of gaseous hydrocarbons.
