1731.         1731.  ------.  [INTERNATIONAL HYDROGENATION PATENTS CO., LTD.]  Hydrogenation of Synthetic Oils.  British Patent 579,053, Jan. 16, 1948.  Chem. Abs., vol. 42, 1948. p. 4334.

Fischer-Tropsch products are hydrogenated at high temperatures and low contact times with common hydrogenation catalysts.  High yields of gasoline are obtained.  The following optimum operating conditions are recommended: Temperatures of 700°-750° F., pressures of 1,500 p. s. i., feed rates of 4-8 vol. Of liquid charge per volume of catalyst per hr., and 1,000-8,000 ft.3 of H2 per bbl. of oil feed.
