1686. ------. [INTERNATIONAL HYDROCARBON SYNTHESIS CO.] [Hydrocarbons From Water Gas.] Italian Patent 379,250, Dec. 14, 1939; in Germany, Dec. 22, 1938. Oel u. Kohle, vol. 39, 1943, Sch. 185.

Synthesis of hydrocarbons from water-gas is performed by acid of Fe catalyst, especially of sintered Fe, containing 1-15% of alkali borate. There is obtained from a synthesis gas with 45% CO, 54% H2, and 1% N2 at 330° and 15 atm. 130 gm. of product per m.3, consisting under normal conditions of low-boiling, gaseous hydrocarbons besides small amounts of O-containing compounds.
