1669. ------. [INTERNATIONAL HYDROCARBON SYNTHESIS CO.] [Hydrocarbon Synthesis from Carbon Monoxide and Hydrogen.] Italian Patent 379,797, Dec. 20, 1939. Chem. Zentralb., 1942, II, p. 1086

Synthesis is conducted in several steps, with separation of the reaction products between steps at so great gas velocity, that at further increased throughput the space-time yield does not increase any further. In general, the throughput amounts to 200-600 m.3 gas per 1. of catalyst per hr. The high throughputs are attained through stepwise gas addition to the individual reaction zones or through recirculation of the reaction gases. By this method high yields of hydrocarbons are obtained.
