            In carrying out reactions with circulating gases, such as in the synthesis of NH3, a part of 1 or more of the constituents is removed by causing the gases of a part of them to pass rapidly in the same direction as an appropriate liquid absorbent.  The absorption may take place in a long tube or worm under high pressure.
