            Apparatus suitable for use with materials comprising H2, O2, or S may be made of iron such as that prepared from mild steel by treatment with H2 at 900º or with a weakly oxidizing mixture of H2 and H2O vapor at 550º-600º and 150 atm. pressure.  The apparatus may be coated with Cr, W, U, Mn, Al, Ag, Cu, or enamel.
