            CO and H₂ are passed at a velocity of >200 m.³ per hr. per m.³ catalyst space through 3 or more reaction vessels with separation of the liquid hydrocarbons formed after each vessel.  The hydrocarbons contain >1 C atom in the molecule.  Higher velocities than that mentioned above do not give any higher yields of products.
