      1529.  ------.  [I. G. FARBENINDUSTRIE, A. G.]  [Reaction of Hydrogen With Oxides of Carbon.]  French Patent 814,082.  June 14. 1937. Chem. Abs., vol. 32, 1938. p. 1060.

In the reaction of H2 with oxides of C at a raised temperature and atmosphere or raised pressure, the excess reaction heat is absorbed by indirect exchange of heat with H2O vapor having a humidity of 60%-80%.  The H2O vapor is used at such a pressure that the temperature of the saturated vapor is only slightly < the desired reaction temperature.
