      1461.  ------.  [I. G. FARBENINDUSTRIE, A. G.]  [Process for the Conversion of Carbon Monoxide With Hydrogen.]  German Patent Appl. I 70,367, filed Aug. 30. 1941: OZ 12,963 (Cl. IV d-12 o).  FIAT Reel 166, frames 4,887-4,891: PB 68,702.

In a process for converting CO with H2 to branched hydrocarbons and, if desired, to liquid and solid O-containing organic compounds at increased temperature, and, if desired, under pressure in presence of catalysts containing metals of the Fe group, the products emerging from the catalyst space are brought for the purpose of cooling into immediate heat-exchange relation with the colder liquid product likewise obtained from the conversion of CO with H2.  Reference to a diagram is essential for understanding the method.
