            In deparaffining oils by cooling in presence of solvents, use is made of tetrahydrofuran together with the other solvents that favor the crystallation of the paraffin but have a low washing ability.  Such solvents are acetone, acetonitrile, methanol, dichlorethane, and aliphatic alcohols, whereas benzol and methylenechloride have the opposite action.
