      1433.  ------.  [I. G. FARBENINDUSTRIE, A. G.]  [Process for Producing Low-Boiling Aromatic Hydrocarbons.]  German Patent Appl. -. OZ

Low-boiling aromatic hydrocarbons are obtained from high-boiling aromatics by catalytic pressure hydrogenation of the latter in the vapor state by passing them together with H2 under a pressure of 200-700 atm. at 390º-440º over an artificially produced catalyst consisting of Al and/or Mg silicates with 0.2-10% of Mo oxide.  The gasoline produced contains 40% boiling up to 100º and 60% aromatics with I number 1.5.
