      1406.  ------.  [I. G. FARBENINDUSTRIE, A. G.]  [Process for Catalytically Reacting Liquid Substances.]  German Patent Appl. -, OZ 13,965. filed Jan. 29, 1943.  TOM Reel 17, item 40, frames 1,197-1,200; Meyer Transl. PC-S-V, Oxo Process, vol. 2. chap. 32, 1949. p. 5.

In reacting liquids in the presence of finely divided solid catalyst with recycling of the catalyst separated from the reaction product, the finest catalyst particles are continuously or periodically separated from the liquid reaction product or a part thereof, and only the coarser particles are recycled to the reactor.  The centrifuge described in OZ 13,955 (abs. 1451) is specifically applied to the situation in which olefins are reacted with CO and H2 in presence of a catalyst consisting of Co, 33%: MgO, 2% and ThO2 2% in a slurry of kieselguhr.
