Example: A hydrocarbon mixture from the hydrogenation of CO containing 12-14 C atoms in the molecule is transformed into sulfochloride by treatment with Cl₂ and SO₂ and still contains 35% of unchanged hydrocarbons. The sulfamides produced with NH₃, after extraction in H₂O-soluble material such as NH₄CL with high-molecular alcohols or H₂O, serves as lubricating oil.
