      1323.  ------.  [I. G. FARBENINDUSTRIE A. G.]  Liquid Hydrocarbons.  British Patent 519,613.  Apr. 1, 1940.  Chem. Abs., vol. 36, 1942. p. 251.

Formation of the undesirable hydrocarbons of low molecular weight in the treatment of liquid CO reduction products (from cracking or destructive hydrogenation) can be considerably reduced by adding cyclic hydrocarbons boiling within the range of middle oils, which under the reaction conditions are at least party vaporous.  Naphthalene and its homologs or middle oils derived from the destructive hydrogenation of mineral coal are the most suitable addition products.
