            Sulfonic acid chlorides of high-molecular aliphatic hydrocarbons, such as those obtained by the hydrogenation of CO, which can be either liquids or solids at ordinary temperatures, are heated in an inert solvent at a temperature below the boiling point of the sulfonic acid chloride, preferably at 100°-200°, and in the absence of substance that have a polymerizing effect on olefins.
