      1027.  ------ [HERBERT, W., AND GROSS, II. W.]. (Metallgesellchaft A. G.).  [Working-Up the Reaction Gases of Carbon Monoxide Hydrogenation.]  German Patent 747,731, Oct. 11, 1944; appl. M 147,722, May 1, 1940 (Cl. 12 o-1.03).  FIAT Reel AA 88, frames 3,605-3,609, PB 70,273; TOM Reel 35, item 64, 12pp.

In working-up the gases from the hydrogenation of CO, particularly when performing the synthesis with gas recycle, the gases, after separation of the high-boiling, liquid products discharged from the converter, are washed with aqueous liquors containing alcohol under saturation with H2O vapor and then condensed as usual.  The liquors used for the washing may be those aqueous alcoholic solutions occurring in the further working-up of the reaction gases.
