            Aliphatic hydrocarbons of high molecular weight are treated with oxidizing agents, fresh material being introduced continuously.  A part of the oxidized product is saponified continuously with alkaline agents; the unsaponifiable part is separated continuously by centrifuging and returned to the oxidation.  A further separation of the saponified and unsaponified portions may be obtained by extraction with solvents or distillation.  Describes apparatus.
