Gasoline heart cut, C6 to 350º F. cut, from Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, is subjected to a severe catalytic treatment, the heavy naphtha gas oil cut, 350º F. and above, is subjected to a milder catalytic treatment, and the C2-C3 olefins are polymerized.  Bauxite to a silica-alumina (10-25 wt. % alumina) may be used.  A solid phosphoric acid catalyst is used for treating the lighter fractions.  Any continuous treating unit may be used, but a fluid reactor and regenerator system is preferred.  Oil product is nondestructively hydrogenated and superior diesel and heating oil are recovered.  1 literature ref., 2 foreign patents, and 9 United States patents cited.
