            Gives process for selective extraction of one or more neutral, oxygenated, oil-soluble organic compounds from their mixture with hydrocarbon oils such as those produced in Fischer-Tropsch or Synol processes.  An amine sulfonate is used as solvent.  The amine sulfonate has the general formula  

wherein R1 and R2 are selected from the class consisting of H2 and saturated hydrocarbon radicals, R3 is a saturated hydrocarbon radical, and R4 is selected from the class consisting of saturated hydrocarbon radicals and aromatic hydrocarbon radicals.
