            Organic compound containing a labile H atom adjacent to a nonmetallic element other than C (such as HOAc to form Ac2O) is treated with CO < 5-1,000 atm. pressure and at temperatures of -10º to -20º in the presence of an H halide, such as Hl, and a metal salt, such as Cu2Cl2, and the anhydride formed is distilled.  Gives various examples, with details.
