      907.  GUYER, J. A.  (Phillips Petroleum Co.).  Combined Hydrocarbon Conversion-Hydrocarbon Synthesis Process.  United States Patent 2,518,775, Aug. 15, 1950; appl. filed Aug. 29, 1947, Serial No. 771,332; 3 claims (Cl. 260-449.6).

Contaminated used catalyst from hydrocarbon conversion is treated with steam and O3 in a regeneration zone at 1,000º-1,800º F., pressure up to 25 atm. absolute.  The regeneration gas has a steam: O2 ratio in range of 9 : 1-1 : 4 vol.  The regeneration effluent gas is suitable synthesis gas for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis.  The ratio of CO2 : CO in volume % is 56 : 44.  CO2 and H2O are removed.  The synthesis gas is contacted with a Fischer-Tropsch catalyst at 340º-700º F. and a pressure 1-20 atm.  The effluent is separated into gasoline and heavier oil fractions.  The heavier fraction is recycled to the cracking step.  8 United States patents cited.
