            Hydrocarbons are synthesized from CO and H2 in presence of a suspended and fluidized catalyst, the synthesis gas being introduced  from below and passed upwards through the reaction zone, the gaseous and vaporous products being drawn off above.  The entrained catalyst is separated from the gaseous and vaporous products centrifugally and then returned to the reaction zone.
