Abs., vol. 32, 1938. p. 1276. Hydrocarbons are prepared by passing a mixture of H2, CO, and CH4 through a Fe-Mo contact tube under high pressure and temperature. Thus, a mixture containing H2, 38%: CO, 31%: and CH4, 31% yields C6H15 and H2O. Gives other examples. See abs. 3351. |
