      751.  ------.  [FRIEDMAN, A. H.]  (Phillips Petroleum Co.).  Process for Reactivating Catalysts.  United States Patent 2,540,109, Feb. 6, 1951; appl. filed May 15, 1946, Serial No. 669,793: 5 claims (Cl. 260-449.6).  Chem. Abs., vol. 45, 1951. p. 4024.

Catalyst from Fischer-Tropsch synthesis is reactivated by contact with synthesis gas at a space velocity substantially < that for the synthesis reaction and <that at which any substantial yield of hydrocarbons is effected (0-10 vol. synthesis gas per vol. catalyst per hr.).  Reaction conditions of temperature and pressure are maintained until the wax is removed.  Then the flow rate is increased to the space velocity desired for the reaction.  1 literature ref. and 2 United States patents cited.
