      746.  FREY, U.  [Catalysts for the Synthesis of Hydrocarbons From CO2 and H2.]  French Patent 958,160. Mar. 3. 1950: appl. filed Dec. 29, 1947.  Chem. Zentralb., 1951. I. p. 1406.

Catalysts consist of a mixture of 1,000 gm. white p, 100 CaO powder, 100 cu turnings, 10 mgO, and 3,000 H2O.  A mixture of 90% CO2 and H2 is passed through the catalyst, after which the gas mixture leaving the catalyst is heated to 150º and contacted with molten S at 130º.  After injection of steam the gas-steam mixture is cooled.  The condensed H2O is separated, and the gas-hydrocarbon mixture partly liquefied in a compressor at 30 atm.  Gives diagram.
