            Paraffins with more than 1 C atom are obtained by treating oxides of C in the presence of H2 by catalytic agents and under normal pressure at temperatures that are lower than those at which, for the catalytic agents used, CH4 is formed exclusively, the employment of such catalyzers are pure Ni being excluded.
