            Process for the conversion of an olefin.  CO, and H2 to a predominantly straight chain, normally liquid olefinic hydrocarbon containing more C atoms per molecule than the original olefin and boiling substantially within the gasoline boiling range.  It comprises contacting a feed stock made up of the olefin and 5-40 vol. % of a mixture of H2 and CO having a mol ratio of H2 :CO=0.5:10 with an alkali-promoted (0.5% K2O) Fe catalyst at about 350º-425º and 250-1,500 p. s. i. g.
