            Oily liquid obtained by the catalytic hydrogenation of C oxides under pressure and containing oxygenated organic compounds of a higher order than MeOH is separated into fractions, and the fractions are treated with condensing agents to obtain motor fuels, solvents for cellulose esters or for natural or artificial resins, and detergents.  The residue from the fractionation may be purified and used as a resin for lacquers and varnishes.
