      510.  ------.  [D’OUVILLE, E. L.]  (Koppers Co., Inc.).  Reactivation of Catalysts in Hydrocarbon Synthesis.  United States Patent 2,478,899, Aug. 16, 1949; appl. Filed Apr. 27, 1945, Serial No. 590,566; 2 claims (Cl. 260-449.6), Chem. Abs., vol. 43, 1949, p. 9420.

Deactivated catalyst is treated with H2 at a relatively  low temperature, 50° C. for 0.5-5.0 hr. or 25° C. for 8-50 hr. to regenerate the activity of the catalyst without destruction of the carbide layer.  The method is especially well adapted for fluid catalyst in cyclic process.  6 United States patents cited.
