Fe carbonyl’s stability to light is improved by blending it through an organic solvent with at least 5% of its volume of tall oil soap composition.  The tail oil is partly saponified in a liquid diluent aliphatic alcohol of at least 3 C atoms with an alkylene polyamine from the group of polyalkylene polyamines and hydroxyalkyl alkylene polyamines.  The saponification is completed with K hydroxide.  2 United States patents cited.
