      336.     ------.  [CASALE, L.]  Catalytic Apparatus for Hydrogenation of Carbon Oxides to Produce Alcohols.  British Patent 252,713, May 28, 1925.  Chem. Abs., vol. 21, 1927, p. 2274.

Concentric tubes are arranged so that the reaction gases are heated by the hot reaction products; and electric heater in the inner tube supplies any deficiency of heat and catalytic material is placed in annular spaces between inner and outer tubular partitions.  It is stated that by varying the conditions products are obtainable that contain alcohols, aldehydes, ketones, and organic acids, while if N2 is present amines may be formed.
