Spent adsorption agents, for example, activated C, used for separating hydrocarbons from gases in benzine synthesis are treated consecutively with a heavy benzine, b. 120º-250º, and a light benzine, b. 30º-120º. The benzine treatments are at the boiling point or close to the boiling temperature of the respective benzine. Following the benzine adsorption the agent is treated with steam.
