      74.    ------.  [BADER, W., THOMAS, E. B., AND BRITISH CELANESE, LTD.]  Reactivating Catalyst Used in Methanol Synthesis.  British Patent 334,251.  May 31, 1920.  Chem. Abs., vol. 25, 1931, p. 972.

Catalysts such as oxides for example, ZnO alone or with metals such as Zn or Cu, employed in the synthesis of MeOH, from CO and H2 or in like reactions, are reactivated by the action of H2 or gas mixtures rich in H2 at temperatures higher than those used for the reaction, suitably 370°, and suitably under high pressure such as those employed in the synthesizing reaction, for example, 100 atm.
