13.  ALBERTS. L., AND FEISST. W. (Ruhrchemie A. G.). [Catalytic Hydrogenation of Carbon Monoxide Under Pressure.]  German Patent 744,184, Nov. 18, 1943: appl. R. 107,457 filed Apr. 30, 1940 (Cl. 12 o-103). FIAT Reel AA 88. frames 3,491-3,493.  PB 70,273; FIAT Reel E 29, frames 876-877; PB 70,432; Chem. Zentralb., 1944, II, p. 93; Chem. Abs., vol. 39, 1945, p. 2861.

Pressure synthesis is conducted under such conditions that the CO: H2 ratio in the converter remains constant.  A synthesis gas is added, the CO: H2 ratio of which agrees with that of the end gas.  By this means a high yield of liquid hydrocarbons is obtained with a simultaneous reduction in the formation of C02 and CH4.
