Report of work dealing with the production of formaldehyde by interaction of CO and H2 in silent discharge at 500 cycles per sec.  The absolute yield of formaldehyde was highest with an approximately equimolecular mixture of the constituent gases.  An excess of either CO or H2 appeared to affect the yield adversely.  A decrease in yield was obtained at higher rates of circulation of the gases.
