        Special slagging-gas producer for manufacturing a cheap gas from coal dust is described.  The gas is similar to blast-furnace gas with a gross heating value of about 1,051 kcal. per m.³.  This producer should be well adapted for use with a steam-O₂ mixture for generation of synthesis gas.
