Separation of the high-molecular hydrocarbons by various methods has been studied, and the extraction and reduced pressure-distillation methods have been investigated.  Extraction with ether, dichloroethylene, and CHCl3 indicates possible separation into groups of similar molecular weight and properties.  Repeated distillation at 10-5 mm. Hg did not greatly concentrate individual hydrocarbons.  Molecular weights increased uniformly with melting point.  n-Paraffins to as high as C150H302 are indicated; they melt at 117° and have a molecular weight of 2,000.
