Discusses production of hydrocarbons by catalytic reduction of CO and CO2 of water gas.  Comparatively lower working temperatures yield wax products of high melting point, called synthetic ceresin.  The product melting at 96° is capable of taking up more solvent and remain a paste than natural ceresin, paraffin, montan wax, etc.
