Compounds of the type Fe2O3·M2O3, where M is La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Er, or Y, were prepared by coprecipitation of the oxides followed by heat treatment.  They are stable up to 1,000°, although in some cases decomposition occurs after prolonged heating of 1,000°.  Magnetization curves were obtained.  Ferromagnetic Curie points are:  Fe2O3·La2O3, 465°; Fe2O3·Pr2O3 425°; Fe2O3 Nd2O3, 300°; Fe2O3·Sm2O3, 300°; Fe2O3·Er2O3, 255°; Fe2O3·Y2O3, 275°.
